This talk will consider the impact of different forms of neurodiversity on the musical mind – particularly as musical interests and abilities develop in the early years.
It is a joint presentation between Professor Adam Ockelford, who has researched and written on the connections between music and autism over the last 20 years, and Derek Paravicini, who is an internationally acclaimed pianist, despite having severe learning difficulties and being blind and on the autism spectrum.
Adam and Derek have been working together for almost four decades. The webinar will be interactive, with participants able to able to put questions, comments and suggestions to Derek and Adam.
