Autistic deaf man gains photography award

CJ Ware, an autistic deaf man, has been recognised by the Royal Photographic Society for his talents with a camera.
Mr Ware said: "I feel I hide behind my camera - it's like a comfort blanket".
"It's sort of my safety net."

Britain's got talent Travis George discusses his autism diagnosis and how the talent show helped

Travis George, from Britain's got talent, spoke about his autism whilst talking on an ITV programme.
“You have your own process when you’re on the autistic spectrum,” Travis revealed. “Mine to get through performances when the anxiety hits you is to create a character in my head. That’s why I love theatre, to immerse yourself and put yourself in someone’s shoes."
Eve breaks down barriers for autistic people in the outdoors

Eve Sample, a 20 year old autistc woman from Prudhoe, is helping to break down barriers for women and people with disabilities working in the outdoors. She is a forest school co-ordinator and has spoken about how working in the forest makes her feel at home.
"I hope to inspire other young autistic people that they, too, can find employment, and contribute to society. I am hoping to enjoy a long career in the forest."
