Awards for Vanish Advert

Havas' 'Me, My Autism & I' advert, made in collaboration with Ambitious about Autism, has been awarded both a Bronze Lion for sound design and

a Silver Lion for casting. Now, Havas takes home the Gold Lion for creative strategy.

 


Man cycles 220 miles in under a day for Ambitious

The 220 mile cycle from Manchester to London raises money for Ambitious. Over the past eight years the challenge has raised over £1 million and his year £217 thousand was added to the total.  The article reports on 61-year-old Alan Lake, who said it was an "honour" to take part.  


Commisioner urges to bring in SEND reforms quickly

Childrens commissioner Dame Rachel de Souza urged ministers to implement SEND reforms "quickly" due to new figures showing more that 1.5 million pupils as having SEND, including 389,171 with EHC plans and 1,183,384 receiving SEND support.


More than 9 in 10 autistic people over 50 dont have a diagnosis

True number of autistic people could be almost twice as high as official number suggest, with diagnosis particularly poor among the over fifties. Researchers estimate there are around 1.2 million autistic people in England, far higher that the current estimate figure of 700,000.


Consultation for statutory training launched

The government has launched a consultation on the Oliver McGowan Code of practice on statutory autism and learning disability training for health and care staff.
