
Autism and Mental Health: Learning How to Thrive
Emily Katy is a 22-year-old autistic woman with ADHD and OCD. She is the author of Girl Unmasked: How Uncovering My Autism Saved My Life, a memoir which explores her journey as an undiagnosed autistic teenager. She is a Trustee of Autistic Girls Network, a charity set up to raise awareness and support autistic girls. She also works as a mental health nurse with neurodivergent children.
In this webinar, Emily shares her personal experience of the years leading up to her diagnosis, and the lessons she has learned along the way. She talks about the things that can affect autistic people’s mental health, and offers practical advice for young people.
