Research participation: The relationship between reading, wellbeing and female autism

Research details:

You can participate if you identify as autistic and female, previously attended a mainstream secondary school, and are over the age of 18.

This research is exploring how reading books may be beneficial for the well-being of autistic girls attending secondary school.

The research will involve filling out a questionnaire to provide some background information, and will introduce you to the questions that will be asked in interview. The interview will ask follow up questions from the questionnaire so you can talk more about your experiences. This will be done on Zoom, and everything will be made entirely anonymous.

The Questionnaire will include the following topics:

- If you enjoyed reading and if it helped your wellbeing
-If reading helped you at school
- Your diagnosis and wellbeing, and if reading was helpful.

If you are interested in taking part, or have any questions, please email [email protected], or fill out your details through the link below.

The National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage Survey 2024

The National Living Wage (NLW) is the minimum wage payable to workers aged 21 and over.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) is the minimum rate a worker gets and this rate is dependent on their age.

The Apprentice rate is set for apprentices who are under 18 or aged 18 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship.

The NLW and NMW are reviewed every year and the rate changes every April. Youth Employment UK are building their youth response to the Low Pay Commission consultation and they want to know how you think the changes will impact you now or in the future as you look for work. Your responses will help contribute to the response they provide the Low Pay Commission, who are an independent body that advises the government about the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage.
