Woman turns to art to express autism diagnosis

A Jersey artist who was given a late autism diagnosis has opened an exhibition of her work to show what she has been through.

Emilie Knight had to be signed off from work in November because she was burnt out.

She was given a late autism diagnosis and turned to art to demonstrate her feelings.

The Coronation Street actress wasn’t given the official diagnosis until she was aged 67. Before the medical assessment, she never understood why last-minute script changes and unexplained plot twists were difficult, but now feels she is able to understand herself more.

Teen barred from skydive 'due to Down's syndrome'

The mother of a teenager who turned up to a planned charity skydive says she was told he couldn’t jump because he has Down's syndrome.

Lloyd Martin, 19, whose family are from Cardiff, had raised £2,500 for his gymnastics club ahead of the sponsored tandem skydive in Wiltshire.
