Diagnosis, Resources, and Behavior Changes – A Journey of Self-Discovery

Time changes our framing of incidents. When they go poorly, it’s not unusual to replay them in our minds in search of a more acceptable arc. This narrative is what I’ve learned from a situation that resolved well but which has also coughed up useful lessons.

Co-designing romantic relationship resources for autistic youth

There is little support for young autistic people to develop the skills and knowledge required for successful romantic relationships. The ‘Romance Spectrum’ project aims to address this by developing a romantic relationships resource with autistic youth and allies.

Special educational needs bill in England hits record £10bn a year

The bill for special needs education in England has hit £10bn a year, with the number of children and young people entitled to government support in the form of education, health and care plans set to double to 1 million within a decade, a landmark report has found.

The investigation by the National Audit Office (NAO) found that despite record levels of spending there had been no signs of improvement in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).

Music group expands to help neurodiverse people

A music group is expanding its repertoire to help people with autism, ADHD and dyslexia overcome "barriers".

Social enterprise Swell Music CIC has been running sessions for those with dementia, Parkinson's and lung problems, but it now wants to help people who are neurodivergent to create music.

Inside the world's first TV station run for and by people with learning disabilities

All the reporters at TV BRA – which means “TV Good” – are disabled or autistic; most have a learning disability.

Every week, they put together an hour-long magazine programme covering news, entertainment and sport, which is broadcast on a major Norwegian streaming platform, TV2 play, as well as TV BRA’s own app and website.
