Different By Design Exhibition

This exhibition brings together 10 artists and collectives who are members of Matthew’s Hub to celebrate 10 years of the charity. Including photography, sculpture, printmaking, textiles, digital art and works on paper, this exhibition speaks about neurodiversity in different ways. 

Matthew’s Hub is a charity that supports autistic people, those with ADHD, and people who are waiting for a diagnosis.

Neurodivergent Procrastination and Inertia - Emma Taylor

Many neurodivergent people struggle with procrastination and inertia, and can get stuck in a cycle of forgetting, avoidance, overwhelm, and a build-up of un-done tasks and their consequences, resulting in worse mood and even more procrastination. This workshop will offer tools for understanding inertia and the different forms of procrastination, the specific obstacles to different tasks for different people, and practical techniques for becoming unstuck.

Studying with disability: how to maintain enthusiasm

Find out how to maintain enthusiasm for study during what is often a miserable time of year for many of us – the cold, dark winter months. Student guest will share their experiences of studying with disability and how they stay focused, maintain enthusiasm and keep going, even when it might seem better – and a lot easier – to just curl up under a blanket and let your brain ‘switch off’ for a while. There will be practical advice on how and where to source additional help as well as plenty of opportunities to share ideas.
