This role would support the ABI policy team feed into the Government's landmark pensions review. It would contribute to building evidence-based arguments to set out ABI’s policy position on a range of interconnected issues, due to the wide spanning review.
The Government’s review aims to drive economic growth in the UK and improve savers’ outcomes in retirement, including by increasing the returns of Defined Contribution pension pots.

The Government has consulted on the first phase of the review – focused on pension investment – and we are awaiting the outcome of it. As part of that, the Government has proposed major market changes including the scale reforms. The second phase – focused on Retirement Adequacy – is rumoured to be delayed, but the ABI policy team will need to do preparatory work ahead of the launch of this phase.
